I am recent graduate of Barnard College, an all-women’s college in New York. My biggest hobby is cooking! Living in New York, I have access to many cultural markets which I love to visit and gather all the necessary ingredients for the many cultural dishes cook in my modest dorm-room kitchen.
My interest in cooking sparked in middle school when I became close friends with a Palestinian neighbor. I was able to spend hours in the kitchen with her observing her technique and routines. Now that I am living by myself, it is up to me to apply this technique and tweak it so that it is my own!
My focus is Middle Eastern cuisine. However, I love to learn any type of dish or dessert. I am big on spice and tastes that are rich, hearty, and healthy.
